About me
Hello, I am Rebecca, I am an experienced and accredited CBT therapist and supervisor and a trainee EMDR practitioner and I deliver CBT therapy, CBT supervision and EMDR therapy online across the UK and in-person Wellbeing Workshops across my local area of the East Midlands.
In my career within the NHS, I have lived all over the UK - the south-west, London, Liverpool and now the East Midlands, and I have met and been privileged to work with so many amazing clients from all walks of life. This, as well as going through my own therapy journey, fuels my motivation and enthusiasm to try to make therapy accessible to as many people as possible. Whether you are a busy parent, have a long-term health condition, or move locations often, as in the military, therapy can work for you. This is why all of my services are available online, so anyone can access them from wherever they are. I am passionate about providing high quality, collaborative and supportive therapy which empowers people to improve their emotional wellbeing, and as a result, witnessing them change their quality of life for the better.
I know that the possibility of starting therapy can feel daunting, so I will always do my utmost to make you feel at ease, safe and seen. I believe that you are always the expert in your experience, and you already have everything you need to heal, I am just a supportive guide walking beside you to help you find it and celebrate when you do.
Away from the therapy room, you will usually find me outdoors which is where I always feel best, chasing my cocker spaniel and toddler around in nature.
My Training and Experience
I have over 13 years of experience working therapeutically and over 8 years of experience delivering supervision within NHS and charity settings.
As part of my undergraduate degree, I spent a year working at the Research Institute for the Care of Older People (now known as ReMind UK), an independent charity memory and research centre in Bath, providing diagnostic memory assessment, cognitive stimulation therapy and support for individuals and their families, as well as contributing towards frontline dementia research. Following graduation, I moved to London and worked with Richmond CAMHS, Achieving for Children and Lewisham Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) as an assistant psychologist. I then trained as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with NHS Talking Therapies and subsequently as a senior PWP, supervisor, PWP Lead and manager, before training as a High Intensity CBT Therapist and supervisor. I opened my private practice in 2025 in addition to my NHS role. I am currently undertaking EMDR training with the EMDR Academy.
I am supremely grateful for all of the opportunities throughout my career, and all of the support provided by colleagues, friends, family and clients.
